Some of our fondest memories are those made with our mother, Goldie, who left a lasting and loving impression on those around her. This Mother’s Day we are recognizing the love, dedication, and legacy of the incredible mothers and female figures in our lives. Read on for Goldie’s favorite recipe using Rose Sisters Chips and a couple of ideas for making Mother’s Day memorable!
In Honor of Goldie
Just like many families, our mother was the glue that kept us all together. An immigrant from Russia, Goldie always strived to create a home that was safe, inviting, and warm. Much of this was due to her love of cooking and baking! In honor of Goldie, this Mother’s Day we’ll be recreating her favorite stuffing recipe, which of course incorporated Rose Sisters Chips. Stuffing doesn’t only have to be for Thanksgiving, and Goldie made it frequently for big family dinners. Here’s how she would make her famous dish:
Mix together and place in casserole dish:
2 diced onions
4 stalks of diced Celery
2/3 cup of melted butter
½ teaspoon ground sage
Pepper and salt to taste
3 cups of chicken broth
The KEY - Rose Sisters Chips as an enhancement to dried bread cubes:
Substitute 1/4 of the dried bread cubes portion with Rose Sisters Chips. For a recipe with 12 cups of dried bread cubes, mix 9 cups of bread cubes with 3 cups of crushed Rose Sisters Chips.
Cover and bake for 40 minutes at 350F.
The chips’ delectable crunch, exotic seasoning, and unique flavor will jazz up any stuffing recipe (you could even use this idea to make dinner for your mother on this loving holiday, it’ll be our secret).
Visit a Farmer's Market:
Mother’s Day falls during a wonderful time of year. The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and spirits are high. Why not celebrate by wandering the bustling, cheery farmers market for some quality time with your mom? Between picking up a bouquet of fresh flowers, grabbing local fruits and veggies, or enjoying tasty treats, you and your mom are bound to have an incredible time together soaking up the sunshine.
Take a Cooking Class
At Rose Sisters Chips, we believe incredible bonds form over food. There’s something so comforting and special about sharing a meal together. What better way to show your mother you care than going to a cooking class together. A fun and engaging activity, the two of you can enjoy a delicious meal made together - and in case it’s not so delicious, an opportunity to spend time laughing together.
Lend A Hand
